The next era of club performance begins
The Eric Prydz Holosphere 2.0 launch at [UNVRS] in Ibiza has redefined what’s possible in a nightclub setting. Debuting on Monday 2 June 2025, this world-exclusive residency delivers a visionary new show format—an eight-tonne holographic sphere that surrounds Prydz mid-set, blending arena-level production with true underground energy. Running every Monday until 1 September. The series marks a historic step forward in how electronic music can be experienced, designed from scratch for Ibiza’s most advanced new venue.
It’s not a sequel or an upgrade, It’s something entirely new unfolding in real time, responding live to Prydz’s ever-evolving sound. Holosphere 2.0 is not just a performance—it’s an active environment, engineered for the dancefloor but built at a scale few artists would dare attempt. From the sound to the visuals to the scale of ambition, it rewrites the expectations of what club culture can contain.
Designed for club-scale immersion
The centrepiece of Holosphere 2.0 is the structure itself: over eight metres tall, built from custom transparent LED screens, and reactive to the music in real time. It surrounds Prydz with a multi-layered digital world unlike anything seen before in a club environment—transforming [UNVRS] into a sci-fi cathedral of lights, lasers, and layered holograms.
A team of visual artists led by GMUNK created the Sphere’s content by filming practical effects like burning glass and plasma orbs in Los Angeles, then laser-mapping them into 360-degree holographic loops. These visual sequences are not just cinematic—they’re sculptural, each one shaped as a standalone digital artefact.

Six years in the making
Holosphere 2.0 has been in development since the original Holosphere debuted at Tomorrowland in 2019. “We’ve waited six years for this,” says Prydz. “Not because we wanted to, but because we had to. The technology had to catch up with our vision.”
Every piece of the Sphere is custom built nothing off the shelf. The structural engineering walks a tightrope between strength and near-invisible transparency. LED pitch, pixel density, colour depth all have been radically improved since the original iteration. It’s not a remix. It’s a reinvention.
While Prydz’s shows have always stood out for precision and innovation—whether at Madison Square Garden, Coachella, or Sonar—Holosphere 2.0 may be his most ambitious yet. Here, technology doesn’t just support the show. It is the show.
A new home at [UNVRS]
The show is made possible by [UNVRS]. A new venue from The Night League—the creative force behind Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza. Opening in May 2025, the space was purpose-built with future-facing shows like this in mind. Featuring a stadium-grade ceiling grid, full-height lighting rigs, modular staging, and a crystal-clear L-Acoustics sound system, [UNVRS] gives Holosphere 2.0 the scale it needs to come alive.

But this is more than a venue. [UNVRS] is a shape-shifting stage for radical ideas, born out of decades of elite club and festival production experience. Conceived by The Night League’s Yann Pissenem, it blends club luxury with arena infrastructure, tailored for a new generation of hybrid audiovisual experiences.
Prydz isn’t just performing at [UNVRS]—he’s using it as an extension of his creative toolkit. Every LED pulse, lighting cue, and surround sound moment is dialled in to match the Sphere’s intensity. It’s a collaboration between artist, architecture, and atmosphere. For audiences, the line between performer and performance dissolves.
Opening night energy
For the launch on 2 June. Prydz was joined by rising talents Rivo, J Ribbon and Bender. Their sets built anticipation for the headline show—a two-hour journey that stunned the dancefloor and spread word-of-mouth quickly across the island.
From the moment the Sphere lit up, it was clear this wasn’t a typical Ibiza night. Crystal formations hovered mid-air. Digital liquid seemed to flood the room. The visuals didn’t just complement the music—they immersed and engulfed the crowd in a multi-sensory experience.
Beyond nostalgia, beyond genre
Holosphere 2.0’s power lies not only in its tech but in how Prydz uses it. This isn’t EDM nostalgia or mainstage spectacle. His selections are hypnotic, slow-burning, and deep—constructed live to reward patience and presence. Each track builds a cohesive journey where visuals and sound merge seamlessly.
This club show was designed for a mature crowd. One that craves immersive experiences over predictable drops. The unpredictable, reactive nature of the Sphere means every night is unique. Shaped by Prydz’s live choices and the energy in the room.

The future of live electronic music
Holosphere 2.0 represents a leap not just for Prydz, but for live electronic music itself. It challenges traditional formats by integrating bespoke technology and creative vision into a fully immersive environment. For Ibiza, it’s a statement that club culture still leads innovation, even as the music industry evolves.
The Night League’s vision with [UNVRS] is to push these boundaries further. Their track record—from Ushuaïa to Hï Ibiza—proves their commitment to quality and innovation. Holosphere 2.0 is a fitting flagship for a venue built to redefine what a nightclub can be in the 2020s and beyond.

Final words on Eric Prydz Holosphere 2.0
Holosphere 2.0 isn’t just a residency—it’s a statement. In an era where spectacle often overshadows substance, Eric Prydz has delivered a show that’s both technically mind-blowing and emotionally resonant. Purpose-built for Ibiza’s newest, most advanced venue, the Sphere is a live instrument, not a gimmick—reactive, fluid, and totally unique to each night. With [UNVRS] providing the scale, freedom, and infrastructure to push this vision to its limit, Mondays on the island now belong to the future.
