Freestylers Asian tour 2025

Three cities. One breakbeat odyssey.

The Freestylers Asia tour 2025 brings jungle, breaks and ballistic energy to Southeast Asia. With a string of outdoor parties and boutique festivals across Koh Phangan, Hanoi and Siem Reap. The UK duo long hailed as legends of the breakbeat scene will headline three very different events between June 9–14. Joined by a revolving cast of DJs, producers and live performers from across Asia, the UK and the US.

Whether under the moonlight on Koh Phangan’s Dragon Stage, deep inside Hanoi’s Kali Social Club, or among the temples and tuk-tuks of Siem Reap. The Freestylers are taking the party back to its raw, open-air roots. These shows aren’t just gigs—they’re portals into jungle culture, rave history, and future-facing sound.

A full moon jungle rave in Koh Phangan

Kicking things off on Monday, June 9. The Freestylers headline A Vision Carved in Moonlight, a jungle festival-style party at Koh Phangan’s Muay Thai Arena. Expect fire shows, live percussion, open-air chaos and a bass-heavy blend of drum and bass, breaks and dub.

The lineup also features long-running Ibiza legend Graham Gold, Bangkok-based tech house headliner SK4NK, and global circuit names like Aaron Suiss, JayBee, Kuma, and Yugo. UK duo Rob Gritton | Woodsy return to their jungle roots alongside live percussionist Bata, bringing a tribal edge to the night.

Hosted by Jungle Experience Festival, the event spans multiple stages—including the iconic Dragon Stage and the ever-thumping Bass Stage. Entry is 1000THB in advance or 1200THB on the door. And includes one free drink and access to the full arena. Doors open early, with happy hour from 10–11pm offering an extra free drink and 20% off spirits.

Hanoi gets hyped with The Freestylers at Kali

Next stop: Vietnam. On Friday, June 13, the duo hit Kali Social Club in Hanoi for a more intimate warehouse-style session, hosted by local collective Danceservatory. Known for its heavy underground sound and inclusive atmosphere. Kali is one of the city’s most respected venues for progressive music heads.

The night forms part of a series spotlighting international breakbeat and bass pioneers, with The Freestylers joined by NYC’s Don Stone and BRC’s Heuristic. Promising a borderless blend of bass, hip hop, electro and rave heritage. Expect no-frills energy, Funktion-One sound, and a crowd of dedicated heads who know their back catalogue.

Keep an eye on Kali’s socials for full event info and local ticket links.

Cambodia closes with a culture clash

The tour wraps up in Siem Reap, Cambodia, where The Freestylers headline The Craft Festival on Saturday, June 14. Organised by the ColYve collective, this daytime-through-evening celebration blends craft beer, craft cocktails, and craft music, turning Siem Reap’s creative quarter into a pop-up rave village.

The event runs from 2pm until late and features food vendors, live art, and stacked DJ sets spanning breaks, funk, house and dub. The Freestylers will headline as the sun sets. Capping off the tour with one final show that mixes global party spirit with underground soul.

Freestylers history and recent releases

Before becoming one of breakbeat’s defining names, The Freestylers were just two UK producers swapping stories over hip hop vinyl. “We realised we both owned all the same tunes,” recalls Aston. “Matt had this idea for an electro track, and that became ‘Drop The Bomb’.” The name itself came from a sample by an act called Freestyle—fitting for a duo rooted in crate-digging culture.

Over the years, they’ve toured the world—from Glastonbury to Shambhala—dropping raw, genre-bending sets that blend hip hop, reggae, electro, soul, breaks and drum and bass. Tracks like “Push Up” became crossover anthems, while deeper cuts like “Painkiller” (with Pendulum) cemented their underground cred. Albums like Raw As F**k and Adventures in Freestyle pushed the scene forward without ever chasing trends.

In 2024–25, The Freestylers are still evolving. Their recent remix of “Please Be There” and the Benny Page collaboration “My Sound” (Mama’s Pie) show just how deep their studio game runs. They’ve also dropped heaters like “Don’t Stop” with Strike and a fiery remix of “I Had 2 Go” with GreenFlamez, continuing to prove they’re not just legends—they’re still innovators.
