Andy Bell Pinball Wanderer

Andy Bell, best known for his work with Ride and Oasis, is set to release his third solo album, Pinball Wanderer, on February 28, 2025. The album, coming via Sonic Cathedral, blends psychedelic soundscapes, groovy rhythms, and experimental textures, drawing influence from artists like Arthur Russell and The Stone Roses.

A Unique Musical Journey

Pinball Wanderer features eight tracks, including a fresh take on The Passions’ 1981 classic, I’m in Love with a German Film Star, reimagined as i’m in love…. The track includes vocals from Dot Allison and guitar contributions from Michael Rother (Neu!). Bell, who often played the song’s guitar line during Ride soundchecks, describes the original as a “proto-shoegaze” masterpiece.

Recording the album was an intense, creative process. Bell teamed up with former Oasis bandmate Gem Archer, during a late-night session last summer. The result is a record Bell considers his finest work yet—one that captures a moody, nighttime aesthetic, ideal for deep listening or intimate dancefloors.

UK Tour and Special Releases

To celebrate the album, Bell will embark on his first solo acoustic tour, performing at independent record stores across the UK. The tour kicks off on February 27 at Stranger Than Paradise in London. With stops in Oxford, Bedford, Brighton, Coventry, Manchester, and Liverpool.

Pinball Wanderer will be available in multiple formats, including limited cyan, magenta, and yellow vinyl, as well as CD and digital editions. The CD release includes three bonus tracks, featuring remixes of i’m in love… by Justin Robertson , GLOK.

Fans can pre-order the album now from retailers like Resident Music and Amazon. With Pinball Wanderer, Bell continues to push sonic boundaries. Delivering an album that promises to captivate both longtime fans and new listeners alike.
